Spalted Maple Desk & Brass Details

This desk started with a simple intent: a good friend needed a workspace, and I knew she deserved something far beyond the ordinary. Her presence, sharp talent, and natural charisma call for a piece that carries the weight and confidence of a true CEO desk—a design built to reflect the standard she sets every day.

To capture that energy, I selected a slab of spalted maple with bold, unpredictable black lines running across the grain, making the surface as dynamic as her work. I paired the soft, rounded wooden legs with custom brass risers, giving the heavy slab a light, floating lift. The result is a grounded, sculptural piece that honors both material and character—a bespoke desk tailored to anchor a powerful room.
